UA Contemporary Dance Platform \ Database of Performances \ The Story of One Body
VIKTORIIA KHOROSHYLOVA

DESCRIPTION:
The performance opens a space where the individual manifests a unique place in the common. It creates a space for the possibility of contact with oneself and others.
The body is full of stories. It reacts and influences. It combines contexts and experiences, and it is never alone. The body serves the narratives that pass through it. A body's reactions and positions, sounds and movements hold the potential for new ones. From this perspective, a body becomes a source of possibilities.
The performance is based on the research of works of the American choreographer Deborah Hay, the study of Antonin Artaud's philosophical concept of "A Body without Organs", later developed by J. Deleuze and F. Guattari.
