DESCRIPTION:

“…The words Dignity and Freedom excite me, but they are still underwater like dolphins in the deep Black Sea.” — Viktoriia Khoroshylova
The performance is based on facts about russian violence against Ukraine and facts that examine the roots of Putin's regime from a historical perspective. Ecological impact, freedom of choice, power of humanity and vulnerability of human beings related to war are highlighted. The work consists of six parts and gives space where the artist makes a statement and the audience participates as well. The audiences can choose the order of the parts.

VIKTORIIA ‎ KHOROSHYLOVA

A movement artist, dancer and choreographer from Odesa, Ukraine. She is the founding member of the performative group P.L.O.T. based in the Museum of Odesa Modern Art. She works in the contemporary art field with museums, galleries and independent dance projects.
She worked:— in Ukraine: with UA Contemporary Dance Platform, Museum of Odesa Modern Art, Antonin Artaud Foundation — in Sweden: with the Skanes Dance Theatre, Skissernass Museum of Public Art in Lund, Malmö Art Museum, Studio Silk, MOA Company, Dancesentrum SYD and Red Cross— in Denmark: with The Crossing Borders and Youth Democracy organisations.
In her artistic practice, she focuses on civic art, personal freedom and responsibility. The realisation of the creative potential of a person is a key in her practice.
Working methods. In her work, Victoria uses diaries, documentary materials, and the works of other artists, such as Wassily Kandinsky, Bronislava Nizhynska, Deborah Hay, Steve Paxton, Pina Bausch, and Antonin Artaud. She uses phenomenological analysis of philosophical works to research the nature of one's creativity, combining visual art, improvisation, physical theatre, and research based on questioning.
