DESCRIPTION:

A contemporary dance performance that explores human relationships: from casual acquaintances to deep friendship and love. Nina Simone, whose music inspired this performance, captured the events of her time in her songs. She described experiences candidly and realistically, often adding notes of irony and humanity. Eight young people dance to her voice with their bodies — also about relationships, but already in our time.
This is their album of stories, rooted in the reflections on the dynamics within the team that emerged during their collaborative process. These narratives will reveal the value and expression of each individual in their relationships and the significance of the moments they have shared.

ALINA OSTAPETS

DMYTRO MITICHKIN

A student at the Choreography Department who combines the art of dance with the science of movement in her work. As a kinesiologist, she studies the deeper aspects of the human body, perceiving each movement not just as a dance element but as an important communicative signal. Through additional education courses in dance-movement therapy, Alina has expanded her understanding of the psychology of movement. This experience has enabled her to not only work with team dynamics but also to explore deeper social issues through her performances, where dance becomes a means of dialogue, drawing attention to important societal problems.
In addition to her studies in Kyiv, Alina has participated in workshops on international platforms such as the P.A.R.T.S. Summer Program (Belgium) and the ImPulsTanz Festival (Vienna).

Acquiring an academic education in choreography in Kyiv, Dmytro sought additional sources of knowledge beyond the university. These included the educational programs by the Antonin Artaud Fellowship, workshops "Butoh: The Body as an Empty Vessel" by Tomas Tse, and workshops from the UA Contemporary Dance Platform.
In the process of creating choreographic works, he incorporates not only his own choreographic text but also the physical responses of the dancers he works with, drawing on their shared experiences and insights from discussions on relevant topics. Through dance, he addresses significant themes and transforms his performances into spaces for dialogue and reflection.
